Gun Show Law\">petitioned<\/a> the U.S. Supreme Court for review in a case known as <em>B&amp;L Productions, Inc. v. Newsom<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAF is joined by the California <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/springfield-armory-new-saint-victor-rifles-and-pistols\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"saf-asks-high-court-review-challenge-cal-gun-show-law\" title=\"SAF Asks High Court to Review In Challenge of Cal. Gun Show Law\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3617\">Rifle &amp; Pistol<\/a> Association, South Bay Rod &amp; Gun Club, Asian Pacific American Gun Owners Association, Second Amendment Law Center, L.A.X. Firing Range, B&amp;L Productions\u2014for whom the case is named\u2014and several private citizens. They are represented by attorneys Donald Kilmer at Kilmer Law Offices in Caldwell, Idaho, and C.D. Michel, Anna M. Barvir and Tiffany D. Gun Show Law\">GunsAmerica Holiday Gift Guide for Shooters<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are at a point where California has essentially ignored the Supreme Court\u2019s ruling in 2022 that eliminated the use of \u2018judicial balancing tests\u2019 when deciding Second Amendment claims,\u201d noted SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, \u201cwhile trampling on the First Amendment protections of speech which is necessary for the commerce of lawful products.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCalifornia\u2019s laws and policies are being used to prevent gun owners, who are honest and peaceable citizens, from congregating and conducting lawful commerce on public property,\u201d noted SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. \u201cIf the state is allowed to continue, neither the First nor Second Amendments are safe from California\u2019s legal choke hold.
