Sei entered the Hillsborough County home around midnight in an armed intrusion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-homeowner-s-son-shoots-intruder\">Homeowner&#8217;s Son Shoots Intruder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The son woke up in the middle of the invasion and <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/tennessee-teen-shotgun-intruder\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"homeowners-son-shoots-armed-intruder\" title=\"Homeowner\u2019s Son Shoots Armed Intruder\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3719\">fired at the intruder<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police received a 911 call of a home invasion around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They found Sei dead from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a press release from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamhcso.com\/News\/PressRelease\/0257e9f4-4fcb-48d5-84cd-8cf70a677de7\/24-235\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"homeowners-son-shoots-armed-intruder\" title=\"Homeowner\u2019s Son Shoots Armed Intruder\"><em>Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-investigation\">Investigation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Armed burglary suspect found dead from gunshots at home in Ruskin, deputies say\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/F9_jrYb23u4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Police found Sei with a handgun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The homeowner\u2019s son has not been identified other than as an &#8220;adult.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The HCSO is currently investigating the shooting. They have not stated whether or not the residents knew Sei.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-supportive-sheriff\">Supportive Sheriff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister supports the son\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cImagine the fear of being awoken in the middle of the night to a stranger invading your home,&#8221; Chronister said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is every homeowner&#8217;s greatest fear, a dangerous and brazen individual breaking in,\u201d Chronister said, \u201cshowing a complete disregard for the safety and security of others. Our thoughts are with this family as they recover from the trauma of this event.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-homeowner-s-son-in-the-clear\">Homeowner&#8217;s Son In The Clear<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheriff Chronister is considering this a case of self-defense. Other sheriffs in similar cases have not been so generous. Each county has a different sheriff and a different prosecutor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some prosecutors choose to focus on certain crimes over others.
