Thomas Massie in a <a href=\"https:\/\/massie.house.gov\/news\/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=395664\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"national-constitutional-carry-act-introduced\" title=\"National Constitutional Carry Act Introduced\">press release<\/a> obtained by GunsAmerica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Unfortunately, not every American\u00a0enjoys the same right to carry firearms in public because some states and localities infringe upon this right through a variety of criminal, civil, and regulatory penalties, he continued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;By prohibiting\u00a0state or local restrictions on the right to bear arms, H.R. 9534 upholds the original purpose of the Second Amendment\u2014to ensure the security of a free state\u2014while safeguarding individual liberties against government infringement,&#8221; he concluded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-massie-s-bill-has-two-key-provisions\">Massie\u2019s bill has two key provisions. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First, it prevents any state or political subdivision from punishing eligible individuals for carrying firearms in public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second, it nullifies existing laws or regulations that penalize or discourage carrying firearms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill applies nationwide, covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories, ensuring consistent protection for all Americans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Constitutional Carry Act has garnered support from major gun rights organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hunter King, Director of Political Affairs at the National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR), said, &#8220;Currently, 29\u00a0states have adopted constitutional carry laws, yet contrary to the warnings of gun control advocates, there&#8217;s no evidence of rampant violence or &#8216;wild west&#8217; scenarios.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-see-also-echelon-4-5f-9mm-pistol-with-manual-safety\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/echelon-4-5f-9mm-pistol-with-manual-safety\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"national-constitutional-carry-act-introduced\" title=\"National Constitutional Carry Act Introduced\">Echelon 4.5F 9mm Pistol with Manual Safety<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Instead, crime rates either remain stable or show a decline,&#8221; he pointed out. &#8220;With numerous states affirming citizens&#8217; rights to bear arms without excessive government regulation, it&#8217;s about time Congress follows suit.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill has gained several original cosponsors, including Reps. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Chip Roy (R-TX), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the backing of gun rights advocates and a group of strong congressional supporters, H.R. 9534 represents an applaudable push to expand constitutional carry nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, in reality, there&#8217;s prolly little chance it sees the light of day.  Too many anti-gunners in Congress at the present moment.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The text of Rep.
