I know many who opt to leave their guns exposed.&nbsp; I have dropped my gun in the water more than once but luckily it was shallow.&nbsp; Some folks have not been so lucky especially as they hauled their gear in by boat. Each year the season ends, and the marshes are drained for planting. Guns wash up on the shore.&nbsp; Unfortunately, they are ruined. It is intended to keep your gun from sinking.&nbsp; I inserted my 7.8-pound <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/hunt365-tested-browning-a5-wicked-wing-sweet-sixteen-needs-photos\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"hunt365-rig-em-right-full-choke-gun-case\" title=\"Rig \u2018Em Right - Full Choke Gun Case\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3608\">Browning Wicked Wing<\/a> semi-automatic into the case and tossed it into the pool.&nbsp; The case floats as is advertised and floats high in the water.&nbsp; Should you experience a lost overboard gun you will find it or someone hopefully trustworthy will find it and return it.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Say what a great idea to put your name on the case and your gun in some way.&nbsp; As I said it floats but it is not intended to be waterproof nor is it advertised as such. &nbsp;No case is waterproof for many reasons.&nbsp; The gun goes in wet, condensation and even when closed it can get wet inside.&nbsp; The gun and the case needed to be dried.&nbsp; But, again the purpose of a floating gun case completely exceeds this criterion.&nbsp; What I will say is in a driving rain, dripping water from your dog, your waders or snow and ice, the inside of the gun will stay pretty dry.&nbsp; That goes a long way for my gun and me.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The soft floatation not only floats but, protects the gun from bumps and bruises that otherwise would occur without a padded case.&nbsp; When the gun is not in the case and it is thrown back in the boat, covered with wet decoy bags and water in the bottom of the boat the case will resist that water.&nbsp; Only while floating on the water does it eventually get wet inside.&nbsp; The nylon liner dries very quickly unlike perhaps a cloth liner that will hold water. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rig-em-right-material\">Rig &#8216;Em Right Material<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Rig \u2018Em Right\u2019s case is made from durable water-repellent Cordura, thickly padded, for floatation, a hard EVA tip, heavy-duty metal hardware, a padded shoulder strap, outside pocket, and is finished in Core Optifade Marsh camouflage.&nbsp; It is not advertised as waterproof, but rather a floating case capable of saving you a lost gun and keeping the gun dry in moist environments.&nbsp;&nbsp;The opening is large enough to allow both your gun and a strap to fit in the case.&nbsp;
