GENESEO, ILL. (05\/28\/23) \u2013<\/strong> Springfield Armory\u00ae is proud to announce the release of two new color variants of the Echelon 9mm pistol. Now available in Desert FDE or OD Green, these two pistols continue the Echelon\u2019s reputation as a highly adaptable handgun engineered with superior ergonomics and built to withstand the harshest conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of the Echelon lies the patent-pending Central Operating Group. Employing cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, this modular chassis is an entirely self-contained and serialized part. The result is a system that can be easily moved between available grip modules in seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further adding to the Echelon\u2019s adaptability is its truly innovative Variable Interface System, which employs patent-pending self-locking pins to complete the most versatile optics mounting system on the market. As the mounting screws are torqued to spec, the pins exert lateral pressure on the optic\u2019s interior mounting surface to eliminate left\/right movement. This ensures you maintain consistent and reliable point of aim\/point of impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the pins can be positioned to fit the footprints of more than 30 popular optics, allowing for an unparalleled direct-mount fit between the pistol\u2019s slide and optic. Supporting the optics-mounting capability of both of these new variants of the pistol is a set of U-Dot\u2122 tritium\/luminescent sights. Accuracy performance is ensured by a hammer-forged 4.5\u201d barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the Desert FDE and OD Green pistols feature a Cerakote\u00ae finish on the billet-machined slide that mates up with a matching color polymer grip module. Cerakote has become the gold standard for gun parts, with an advanced formulation that has virtually eliminated the need to oil the exterior for corrosion protection. This innovative coating not only enhances the durability and performance of firearms, but also offers significant benefits in terms of longevity and ease of care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
