The small apartment was attached to a main home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 38-year-old intruder began by banging on a window of the apartment, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wzzm13.com\/article\/news\/local\/muskegon\/muskegon-county-home-invasion-suspect-killed\/69-9116447f-a8d8-41b9-b230-6c7fc5c7c77a\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"suspect-breaks-into-two-homes-shot-by-homeowner\" title=\"Suspect Breaks Into Two Homes, Shot By Homeowner\"><em>WZZM13<\/em><\/a>. Once he had entered the establishment, he reportedly assaulted the tenant.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He then attempted to break into the main home. This is when the homeowner shot him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the intruder dead. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/news\/muskegon\/2024\/03\/man-shot-killed-trying-to-break-into-house.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"suspect-breaks-into-two-homes-shot-by-homeowner\" title=\"Suspect Breaks Into Two Homes, Shot By Homeowner\"><em>MLive<\/em><\/a>, his identity has not been released to the public.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No information has been released on the homeowner or the tenant. The investigation continues, but no charges have yet been announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-intruders-don-t-often-die-during-the-act\">Intruders Don&#8217;t Often Die During the Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A police officer, Lt.
