Anti-gunners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/lawmakers-youtube-instructing-it-to-censor-gun-related-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">hate<\/a> the fact that freedom-loving Americans can openly view examples of responsible gun ownership online, 24\/7.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such content cripples their ability to push the false narrative that firearms and firearm owners are a curse on the nation.  As a result, they&#8217;re constantly doing whatever they can to de-platform us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest salvo in this saga comes via an <em>NBC News<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/tech\/internet\/larry-vickers-update-gun-youtube-sentence-guilty-plea-case-rcna138491\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">article<\/a> that acts as a mouthpiece for Everytown for Guns Safety.  The specific target in this case is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/larry-vickers-speaks-out-about-guilty-plea\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">embattled<\/a> Larry Vickers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the eyes of the Bloomberg-funded machine, Vickers who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/vickers-pleads-guilty-shockwaves-in-firearms-industry-as-alleged-conspiracy-unravels\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">pled guilty<\/a> to felony charges should be censored and prohibited from engaging with his hundreds of thousands of fans on social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-see-also-ann-coulter-blasts-media-for-racial-bias-in-active-shooter-coverage-is-she-right\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/alert-everytown-urging-youtube-to-deplatform-pro-2a-contributors\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">Ann Coulter Blasts Media for Racial Bias in Active Shooter Coverage \u2014 Is She Right?<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYouTube is a cesspool of violent and irresponsible gun content,\u201d Justin Wagner, senior director of investigations at Everytown, said in a statement to <em>NBC News<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cVideos that teach civilians military shooting tactics or whose sole purpose is to glamorize fully automatic weapons of war go far beyond educational content for responsible civilian gun owners and shouldn\u2019t be permitted on YouTube\u2019s platform,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Braden from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@LangleyOutdoors\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">Langley Outdoors Academy<\/a> addressed this issue in his latest video (see above). He interprets this assault on Vickers as a pretext for broader actions against gun channels on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also believes that this is an attempt to limit information access and control the narrative around gun ownership. And, there&#8217;s no doubt he\u2019s right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-see-also-california-s-sb-1160-annual-gun-registration-or-face-1-000-fines\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/californias-sb-1160-annual-gun-registration-or-face-1000-fines\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">California\u2019s SB 1160: Annual Gun Registration or Face $1,000+ Fines<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As GunAmerica previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/youtube-censor-gun-conversion-videos\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">reported<\/a>, this aggressive posture against pro-2A content began as far back as 2017 when the video hosting platform expanded its pre-existing policy against \u201charmful and dangerous content\u201d to include videos that show users how to modify firearms, vis a vis bump stocks and other accessories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everytown, not content with criticism, scored a coercive victory in December 2021 when YouTube <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/youtube-censors-gun-videos-following-everytown-letter\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">removed<\/a> nine &#8220;ghost gun&#8221; videos.  The crusade intensified with a February 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/lawmakers-youtube-instructing-it-to-censor-gun-related-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">letter<\/a> from Democratic Senators like Blumenthal and Murphy, demanding YouTube to crack down on similar content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August 2022, Everytown again targeted YouTube, audaciously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/alert-everytown-urging-youtube-to-deplatform-pro-2a-contributors\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">linking<\/a> firearm-related videos to violent incidents like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/good-guy-with-gun-attempted-to-stop-mass-killer-in-buffalo\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"push-to-deplatform-pro-2a-youtubers\" title=\"Push to DePlatform Pro-2A YouTubers?\">Buffalo supermarket shooting<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This series of actions marks more than just an effort to limit pro-2A online presence; it&#8217;s a blatant attack on our freedoms.
