Eventually, around 6 pm, the two went their separate ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was about half an hour later when Jolly returned with a gun and allegedly shot the victim. Jolly hit the victim in the face and shoulder, Captain Seth Treadway of the SPD said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-armed-citizen-saves-the-day\">Armed Citizen Saves the Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shelbystar.com\/story\/news\/2023\/11\/07\/shelby-police-say-two-men-shot-following-altercation\/71486677007\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"armed-woman-defends-man-who-was-shot-in-the-face\" title=\"Armed Woman Defends Man Who Was Shot In the Face\"><em>Shelby Star<\/em>,<\/a> \u201cA concerned citizen shot back trying to protect the man and hit Jolly about five times.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This woman, whose name has not been released, had a concealed carry license. Police said she was armed with a legally owned firearm. She acted quickly to defend the victim before he could be shot again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcolionnoir.com\/armed-female-defends-victim-shot-in-the-face\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"armed-woman-defends-man-who-was-shot-in-the-face\" title=\"Armed Woman Defends Man Who Was Shot In the Face\"><em>Colion Noir News<\/em><\/a>, \u201cThe unidentified woman likely saved the victim\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jolly and the victim were both treated for their wounds. Recent reports from <em>Fox News<\/em> say that Jolly is in critical condition.
