The homeowner was wearing earbuds at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhich I never should have done,\u201d he told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxla.com\/news\/la-mid-city-homeowner-shoots-at-follow-home-robbers\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-california-man-defends-family-against-armed-intruders\" title=\"WATCH: California Man Defends Family Against Armed Intruders\"><em>Fox11<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-intruders-didn-t-stand-a-chance\">Intruders Didn&#8217;t Stand a Chance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The homeowner felt a gun held against him and reacted in record time. He has a valid concealed carry permit for California.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After reporting the incident to 911, the homeowner expressed confidence that the intruder would be stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 just pick a new career before they do end up in jail.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-priorities-straight\">Priorities Straight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This homeowner has prioritized protecting the most important parts of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere was nothing in my house that was worth dying for,\u201d the homeowner said, \u201cbut I would die for my family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His family was luckily not injured, and police are now investigating the home invasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf anyone else tries to come, they\u2019re going to die for
