<\/a>Gun crime statistics can be wrangled to say a lot of things that aren’t true. Our patron saint John Lott appears on the news a lot, but he only defends guns. A recent article blaming gun violence on black people is almost as bad as blaming it on the guns themselves. It would be great if the problem were simple and easy to solve, but gun violence in our inner cities is a difficult problem with difficult answers.<\/p><\/div>\n
I absolutely boil over when I see yet another fool blame gun violence on black people. It is almost as bad as blaming it on the guns themselves. The latest story being linked to by the “alternative media” is by Karl Denninger, for his The Market Ticker website entitled “The Real Gun Violence Issue<\/a>.” After poking fun at a couple anecdotal stories meant to expose the complete disregard for human life by inner city black people, Mr. Denninger makes a completely undocumented statement about gun violence:<\/p>\n “Indeed, if you take out black-on-black homicide in the major cities from our so-called “blood-red streets” that Bloomberg and others claim as our emblem of “endemic gun violence” you find that something like three quarters<\/span> of all gun murders disappear.”<\/b><\/p>\n The underline is his, and no, it isn’t a hotlink to some kind of statistical evidence, though he seems to know how to link because he linked out to the stories about the shootings. Then, after noting that our current President is in fact black (actually only \u00bd), Mr. Denninger meanders into a vague conclusion that if somehow we didn’t allow the criminalization of drugs with “racist” propaganda, somehow all of these problems wouldn’t exist. He also wanders into blaming the ills of gun violence on alcohol and prescription opiates…I think.<\/p>\n If there is a point to the article, and you have to look pretty hard to find one, I guess his point would be that if we just give black people easy access to what are now illegal drugs, and make our black President admit that black people are shooting each other in disproportionate numbers, they wouldn’t shoot each other anymore? Could this somehow be the magic bullet to end gun violence?<\/p>\n This is exactly the kind of thinking that brands gun rights activists as racist. It would be really convenient if we could just change one thing in America and magically end all the crime and killing in our inner cities. But unfortunately human nature is not that simple, and no matter what, there are always people who are willing to do bad things in order to sustain themselves. I remember back in the 80s that people were making counterfeit collectible Beanie Babies. Beanie Babies for heavens sake!! The drug trade and its inherent violence are a by-product of almost a completely lack of opportunity in our inner cities. And much like the people selling illegal Beanie Babies knew that they shouldn’t be doing that but did it anyways, the drug dealers don’t have a lot of opportunity that will give them the things they want and need in life. With drugs there is just a lot more money involved, so people are willing to do even worse and worse things, including killing their fellow man.<\/p>\n “The War on Drugs,” the ever expanding militarized police state, and our broken legal system are indeed problems. Most gun crime is generated by recidivist felons<\/a> who have been let out. But those are symptoms. The problem itself is about opportunity, or a lack thereof, and if you want to boil it down to black people, like Mr. Denninger, since before the Civil Rights movement of the 60s, black people have been cheated out of the American Dream by a margin of 2 to 1. Measuring unemployment data <\/a>, which is consistently 2 to 1 blacks against whites, food stamp data<\/a>, also showing 2 to 1. And disproportionately, again, 2 to 1, the percentage of blacks trapped in the inner cities<\/a> it becomes clear that just pointing a finger at black gun crime just isn’t fair. None of these trends have changed <\/a> in the last 50 years, regardless of the color of the president.<\/p>\n Gun crime statistics can be looked at many ways, stressing different variables. If you have read the excellent book by John Lott called “More Guns Less Crime,” it is only the beginning to understand the anti-gunner wrangling that keeps the public somewhat ignorant to the fact that every law abiding American should own and preferably carry a gun. John has gone on to write many other books and has become a talking head on the state run media. His Crime Prevention Research Center<\/a> is where you will find his current work.<\/p>\n And you read correctly by the way. I said EVERY law abiding American should own and carry a gun. Those who need guns the most are black people in our inner cities, but unfortunately they have the ones that the anti-gunners have fought the hardest to disarm. Most Americans, of all colors and creeds, are law abiding and only want a good life with a good job and opportunity. Nobody ever dreams of drug slinging on the streets one bullet away from either the grave or the jailhouse. But for the many of the most ambitious and promising of inner city black people, that is where they end up.<\/p>\n The black leadership couldn’t care less how much blood runs on the streets of our inner cities. Have you seen the video “Black Folk Don’t Join the NRA<\/a>?” They don’t join the NRA because all of their politicians, and nearly all of their public voices (like this “BlackPublicMedia.Org” that made this ridiculous video), brainwash them into thinking that the “gun culture” is a white man’s world in which they don’t belong. “Victim Culture” is where they end up instead. I won’t go on a long rant about race traitors (and being an orthodox Jew I know all about that), because gun statistics and race baiting is not my point. But please do yourself a favor and read Thomas Sowell’s excellent Washington Times article “The Race Hustlers Among Us<\/a>.” It explains why the income of immigrant Asians surpasses that of native whites in America, and why blacks are held back from that feat by their own leaders. Thomas Sowell is a black professor and something of a philosopher. Read his stuff and see if you don’t think that he is in your top ten of the smartest people ever.<\/p>\n If you have to nail the inner city violence problem on one thing, it has to be the export of our manufacturing jobs to China. Nearly every industrial city in America has been decimated by a mass exodus of manufacturing from here to overseas, or more accurately, to China. I found an interesting PDF article<\/a> from Yale, written by none other than a Federal Reserve board member, explaining that as of 2007, manufacturing jobs had sunk to 13.7 million, down from 19.6 million in in 1979. More than half of those jobs were lost after 2000, when we gave China a favored nation status permanently. I also found a 2012 number from the National Association of Manufacturers<\/a> that claims “just over 12 million” manufacturing jobs for that year. What parts of the US did nearly all of these millions of jobs disappear from? Mostly in the inner cities, which remember, include black people disproportionately 2 to 1.<\/p>\n And how does our anti-gun freedom fighting villain Michael Bloomberg fit into all of this? Yes, you read that right. Michael Bloomberg is directly involved in engineering a way to keep black people enslaved to a permanent victim of violence culture in our inner cities. Back in 2002, Bloomberg dismantled the school boards of the New York City school systems and took control of all of public schools as a sole dictator. Officially there was a board, but he appointed a majority of the members. Since that time, rather than fix the public schools, Bloomberg has elected to either close them or force them to share space with privately run charter schools financed by his rich chronies. If you are a fan of the corporate privatization film “Waiting for Superman,” you have to watch the documentary, “The Inconvenient Truth Behind Waiting for Superman<\/a>.” You see, Bloomberg needs dead black people on the streets of the inner cities so he can push his gun control agenda, and crappy schools that suck public money into private pockets is just the combination that makes that happen, for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n It is the ignorance of writers like Denninger (and the idiots who say they are smart ALEX JONES) that portray 2nd Amendment supports as a bunch of narrow minded racist fools. Yes, black-on-black crime does account for a great deal of gun violence in America. But legalizing drugs to sedate ourselves with isn’t the answer (though legalizing some drugs does have many other benefits in taking the wind out of the overall police state). People with no legitimate opportunity will seek illegitimate opportunity, whether it be selling crack or selling fake Beanie Babies. And because black people find themselves disproportionately in inner cities, unemployed and poorly educated, the import culture of American manufacturing has hit them especially hard, and this is reflected in violent crime rates, including firearm violent crime rates.<\/p>\n Karl Denninger seems to be implying that Barack Obama is some kind of race loyalist by refusing to call out the high percentage of black-on-black gun crimes. I say he is a race traitor (or \u00bd of one). Everyone knows you don’t treat a disease by treating the symptoms. Usually you just make things worse. In the case of denying hard working and law abiding inner city blacks their G-d given and 2nd Amendment guaranteed right to own and carry guns, the anti-gunners, including Barack Obama and most of the black leaders, are making that problem worse. They are creating a permanent victim culture in our inner cities and the Michael Bloomberg led privatization of our schools is making it impossible to break the cycle.<\/p>\n It is time that we stopped pointing fingers at each other and start pointing fingers at the powers that keep us apart. It is also time that we say enough is enough to China, and put tariffs on their goods like they do to ours. As every pool of blood and spent shell casings on the streets of our inner cities can attest, free trade has failed. Bring back jobs, bring back opportunity, and the violence will ebb. Fix our public schools with the public money that they take from us in taxes, not with new taxes. And let law abiding Americans in our inner cities, regardless of how much melanin they have in their skin, have open access to inexpensive firearms. Blaming gun violence on the guns, or on black people, or on some combination of the two, is just more false bullshit for the bullshit pile heap that they try to feed us every day on the news. American can be great again. Pick a team, arm yourself, and prepare for war. A new American Revolution is afoot.<\/p>\n <\/end rant><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
