So I always warn owners, just encourage owners to start exercising them now if they have not already,&#8221; said Dr. Bartsch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;So just like us, it\u2019s hard to get up and then go run a marathon, kind of prepare them for that,\u201d she added. Also, you can get protection against tick-related threats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fitness First<\/strong>: Injuries often spike in the initial hunting week, as Dr. Bartsch mentioned. Begin exercising your dogs now! Think of it as marathon training for your fur buddy!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hydrate Right<\/strong>: Always carry extra water during hunts. Keep dogs from drinking potentially harmful, blue-algae-contaminated waters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Safety Wear<\/strong>: Style meets safety! Deck out your dogs in bright orange and reflectors. It&#8217;s both trendy and essential for visibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Emergency Prep<\/strong>: Having a first-aid kit is non-negotiable.
