A CCL holder saved the day last week after shooting an unhinged suspect in a Texas restaurant.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident began at Woody\u2019s Smokehouse in Leon County Texas. According to Sheriff Kevin Ellis, the perp entered \u201cthe business in a harassing manner,\u201d on August 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police received a 911 call and officials responded to the site at around 12 p.m. The Sheriff\u2019s Office for Leon County posted a press release on Facebook <\/a>regarding the incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The alleged attacker, who was later identified as Kevin Craig Anderson, \u201caggressively approached several customers\u201d of the smokehouse. Anderson then made his way to the men\u2019s restroom, where he proceeded to assault an elderly man.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After knocking the elderly man unconscious, Anderson continued to physically abuse the man until someone else intervened.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the other customers stepped in and was also attacked by Anderson. He was \u201cknocked to the floor.\u201d The customer, who was licensed to carry in Texas, pulled a firearm and fired two shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the two shots struck Anderson\u2019s right arm and he then fled the scene. Police found him later parked in a car on the shoulder of the interstate.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview with KBTX<\/a><\/em>, Diana Wood, a co-owner of the smokehouse, shared her perspective.<\/strong> According to Wood, there were two men being assaulted, and a third was being attacked when he pulled out his gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regardless of the specifics, the customer received much gratitude. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After he was found, an emergency helicopter was used to fly Anderson to the “St. Joseph ER in Bryan.” He was later taken to a hospital in Houston for further treatment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the press release<\/a>, two victims were injured, with one also being taken to St. Joseph\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sheriff\u2019s office emphasized that \u201cAll parties involved were not citizens of Leon County.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheriff Ellis has said the case is still under investigation. No charges have been announced yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
