He \u201cgrabbed his gun to see what was going on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside, he found a 50-year-old man \u201con construction equipment across the street\u201d according to reports from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiro7.com\/news\/trending\/man-who-allegedly-rammed-golf-cart-into-neighbors-fence-fatally-shot\/A26YV7CIRVE3PPCMOAYBHYNDMA\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"golf-cart-clash-neighborly-dispute-turns-deadly-self-defense-or-overreaction\" title=\"Golf Cart Clash: Neighborly Dispute Turns Deadly, Self-Defense or Overreaction?\"><em>Kiro7<\/em> <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/abc13.com\/golf-cart-driver-killed-man-drives-through-homeowners-gate-huffman-shooting-fence\/13642568\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"golf-cart-clash-neighborly-dispute-turns-deadly-self-defense-or-overreaction\" title=\"Golf Cart Clash: Neighborly Dispute Turns Deadly, Self-Defense or Overreaction?\"><em>KTRK<\/em><\/a>. Both sources cited a statement from Sgt. This argument culminated in a strange sequence of events. The man \u201cbarrels the golf cart into the [homeowner\u2019s] gate,\u201d said Miller.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gate, which was close to the homeowner&#8217;s position, struck him. He is cooperating with the investigation. So we&#8217;re still out here interviewing some people inside the home as well to see what their story is.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He went on to say that once the investigation had wrapped up, the case would be taken to a district attorney. It is unclear, according to him, if the homeowner will receive charges.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not specified if the two men were acquainted, though <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/news\/local\/2023\/08\/13\/homeowner-confronts-man-outside-property-shoots-him-after-he-rams-golf-cart-through-fence-hcso-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"golf-cart-clash-neighborly-dispute-turns-deadly-self-defense-or-overreaction\" title=\"Golf Cart Clash: Neighborly Dispute Turns Deadly, Self-Defense or Overreaction?\">KPRC 2<\/a> <\/em>did refer to the man in the golf cart as a &#8220;neighbor.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the sequence of events raises many questions, a primary concern centers around the homeowner&#8217;s motivations.
