Last week, a home invasion in Tennessee took a violent turn when two masked intruders were shot by the homeowner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident unfolded on a Friday evening in Murfreesboro, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son Found At Gunpoint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During their initial investigation, the police said the masked intruders broke in through the front door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The homeowner, who has opted to remain anonymous, recounted his experience to WTVF-TV<\/a><\/em>. He told them, “I heard my dog make like a noise like something was hurting, and I heard taser.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continued, “Then I heard my son holler out ‘Don’t shoot!’ so I knew something wasn’t right then, so I retrieved my gun and came out of my room, and that’s when I saw the intruder had the gun pointed at my son.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Split Second Decision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Faced with an immediate threat, the homeowner took decisive action, opening fire and successfully neutralizing the intruders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, \u201cIt was either them or me – that’s how I was looking at it and I was making sure it wasn’t me or my family.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Law enforcement authorities found one of the assailants, identified as 52-year-old Kevin Ford, near the front entrance of the house. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second intruder, 42-year-old Clifford Wright, was found at the nearby Salvation Army, having sustained several gunshot wounds. Following treatment at a local hospital, Wright was subsequently taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resulting Charges<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
