Spainhouer was reportedly in the mall during the attack.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mainstream <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/05\/08\/1174885273\/allen-texas-shooting-what-we-know-victims-far-right-gunman\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"former-army-officer-and-self-described-gun-lover-blames-automatic-weapon-for-texas-shooting\" title=\"Former Army Officer and Self-Described \u2018Gun Lover\u2019 Blames 'Automatic Rifle' for Texas Shooting\u00a0\">media<\/a> is reporting that the gunman used an &#8220;AR-15-style rifle&#8221; in the attack.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m a gun lover. I have guns. I&#8217;m a former police officer. I&#8217;m a former Army officer.
