The suspect has been charged with eight counts of manslaughter and 10 counts of \u201caggravated assault with a deadly weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBrownsville was just the latest outrage which proves people intent on mass murder and mayhem don\u2019t always use firearms,\u201d said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, \u201cbut in none of these cases has anyone ever tried to blame, and then ban, motor vehicles. Yet, the victims are just as dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gottlieb pointed to other cases of mass murder, but each time, the perpetrator was held responsible. Their choice of weapon was never demonized in the media the same way firearms have been singled out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRemember the six people murdered by Darrell E. Firearms, on the other hand, are specifically protected, and they know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe double standard at work here is staggering, and it underscores what we\u2019ve been saying all along,\u201d he observed. \u201cIt\u2019s not the tool, but the person using it.
