No charges have been filed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Waldes Thomas Jr., 19, and Diamond Darville, 18, were attempting to deliver groceries for Instacart. Officials say that their desired destination had been across the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caccavale, the homeowner, was interviewed afterward. He\u2019d instructed his teenage son to ask the delivery people to leave. He says he then heard his son call for help, says <em><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/instacart-delivery-drivers-shot-after-wrong-address-florida\/story?id=98788128\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"he-said-she-said-shots-fired-result-in-no-charges\" title=\"He Said, She Said: Shots Fired, Results In No Charges\">ABC6<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the police report, Caccavale claimed that the driver was driving erratically and began running over logs, boulders, and a fence on his property. He approached the car, fearing for his safety and that of his son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the car allegedly ran over his foot, Caccavale pulled out his handgun. He shot several rounds toward the tires of the vehicle with a Smith and Wesson Shield, says<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/04\/23\/1171507677\/south-florida-shot-at-instacart-delivery-driver-wrong-address\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"he-said-she-said-shots-fired-result-in-no-charges\" title=\"He Said, She Said: Shots Fired, Results In No Charges\">NPR<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delivery driver, Thomas, gave a different story. He said he tried to leave the area after being asked to by Caccavale\u2019s son. \u201cCaccavale approached them aggressively\u201d and they heard three close gunshots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The couple left the scene following the shooting. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wral.com\/story\/probe-ordered-after-florida-shooter-fires-at-delivery-driver\/20825311\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"he-said-she-said-shots-fired-result-in-no-charges\" title=\"He Said, She Said: Shots Fired, Results In No Charges\"><em>WRAL <\/em><\/a>News claims that at first police were not informed of these events.
