The implications are far-reaching: those labeled as such would be mandated to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Obtain an official federal license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct background verifications on potential buyers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete federal paperwork associated with gun registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-whitehouse-gov-gives-examples\"><strong>WhiteHouse.gov Gives Examples<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To give potential sellers a clearer picture, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2023\/08\/31\/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-takes-another-life-saving-step-to-keep-guns-out-of-dangerous-hands\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-dr-lott-on-atf-back-door-gun-registry\" title=\"WATCH: Dr. Lott on ATF Back Door Gun Registry\">WhiteHouse.gov <\/a>outlined scenarios that would warrant the need for a license and background checks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advertisers of any firearm quantity, who also assure potential buyers of their ability to deal in additional firearms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sellers who frequently put guns on sale within 30 days of their acquisition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sellers who routinely deal in brand-new guns in their pristine packaging.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Those selling multiple guns of identical make and model.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previously federally-licensed gun dealers who sell firearms that remained in their business inventory and were not added to a personal collection at least a year prior to the sale &#8211; a move aimed at closing the &#8220;fire sale loophole.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-concerns-from-pro-2a-groups-and-experts-like-dr-john-lott\">Concerns from Pro-2A Groups and Experts like Dr. John Lott<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gun Owners of America (GOA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/goa-sounds-alarm-on-bidens-push-for-backdoor-universal-background-checks\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-dr-lott-on-atf-back-door-gun-registry\" title=\"WATCH: Dr. Lott on ATF Back Door Gun Registry\">voiced<\/a> concerns over the potential expansion of the ATF&#8217;s current gun registry owing to these proposed regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GOA further highlighted the complications this could pose for private firearm sellers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They may now face a dilemma: either transition into registered gun dealers or bear the burden of setting up meetings with potential customers at gun outlets, an option both costly and time-consuming due to FFL transfer fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/urgent-action-needed-comment-period-open-on-bidens-illegal-background-check-rulemaking\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-dr-lott-on-atf-back-door-gun-registry\" title=\"WATCH: Dr. Lott on ATF Back Door Gun Registry\">Urgent Action Needed! Thomas Massie, published in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/bidens-gun-control-law-will-radically-change-us-gun-ownership-opinion-1826184\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-dr-lott-on-atf-back-door-gun-registry\" title=\"WATCH: Dr. Lott on ATF Back Door Gun Registry\">Newsweek<\/a><\/em>, he made his case: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The Biden administration considers you a gun dealer if you sell a friend a gun once and then discuss the sale of a second gun to them. Or if you sell one gun and keep any record of what you bought and sold it for. Or if you rent a space at a gun show, even if you aren&#8217;t selling guns (and anyone who has been to a gun show knows most tables at shows don&#8217;t sell guns). The list goes on, and the new regulations will cover virtually all gun sales and force all purchasers to go through a background check and let the administration complete its national gun registry.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Lott also appeared on <em>OAN<\/em> to discuss the matter.
