Elvis Presley\u2019s engraved revolver fetched a staggering $199,750 at Rock Island Auction Company’s recent Premier Auction<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Smith & Wesson Model 53, once owned by the King of Rock & Roll, was a highlight of the three-day event. The auction grossed over $21 million and attracted international attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Original estimates valued the gun between $60,000 and $90,000. However, global bidding, fueled by Elvis enthusiasts and firearm collectors, pushed the final price past expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RIAC President Kevin Hogan commented on the surging collectibles market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe collectibles market has been experiencing unprecedented growth in several genres,\u201d said Hogan in a press release<\/a> obtained by GunsAmerica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you combine two of those genres, Elvis memorabilia and collector firearms, the result is tremendous excitement and high totals at auction,” he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
