The injunction would block the ATF from imposing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/goa-atfs-brace-rule-is-incoming-heres-what-you-need-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"texas-attorney-general-moves-to-block-atf-pistol-brace-rule\" title=\"Texas Attorney General Moves to Block ATF Pistol Brace Rule\">new and serious rules<\/a> on pistol owners who utilize stabilizing braces.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the new rules, to avoid federal prosecution, owners would be forced to register their brace-equipped pistols under the NFA.  Or, they&#8217;d be forced to surrender their pistol braces to law enforcement or render them permanently inoperable.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Americans have been using stabilizing braces since the first was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefirearmblog.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/10\/bosco-ceo-sb-tactical\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"texas-attorney-general-moves-to-block-atf-pistol-brace-rule\" title=\"Texas Attorney General Moves to Block ATF Pistol Brace Rule\">created over a decade ago<\/a>. Failure to do so could, as mentioned, result in felony prosecution.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ATF estimates that the new rule will affect at least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2021\/06\/10\/2021-12176\/factoring-criteria-for-firearms-with-attached-stabilizing-braces\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"texas-attorney-general-moves-to-block-atf-pistol-brace-rule\" title=\"Texas Attorney General Moves to Block ATF Pistol Brace Rule\">1.4 million Americans<\/a>.  Though, the agency acknowledges that over 3-7 million have been sold from 2013-2020.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, millions of Americans could become felons overnight if they don&#8217;t capitulate to the new rules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Your Best SOLUTION To The ATF Pistol Brace Ruling FIASCO...\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IEmKz82yQ44?start=15&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rule was immediately met with strong legal opposition around the country, including lawsuits from 26 states filed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fracaction.org\/_files\/ugd\/054dfe_c1903a1ef3f84cf89c894aee5e10319c.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"texas-attorney-general-moves-to-block-atf-pistol-brace-rule\" title=\"Texas Attorney General Moves to Block ATF Pistol Brace Rule\">U.S. District Court in North Dakota<\/a>, as well as Paxton\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/press\/Complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"texas-attorney-general-moves-to-block-atf-pistol-brace-rule\" title=\"Texas Attorney General Moves to Block ATF Pistol Brace Rule\"> lawsuit in Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>We feel that there is a positive trend towards regulatory accountability in the Courts, and we are confident that the Courts will continue to hold the ATF accountable for their pattern of regulatory overreach and ever-shifting positions.<\/p>\n<cite>Travis R. White &#8211; President &amp; CEO of the Firearms Regulatory Accountability Coalition (FRAC)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Paxton\u2019s latest maneuver seeks to halt the implementation of the rule before the May 31st deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI filed this lawsuit to ensure that pistol brace owners are protected from the anti-gun Left and the radical activists staffing Biden\u2019s ATF,\u201d said Paxton in a statement on the Texas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/paxton-petitions-court-halt-illegal-biden-administration-rule-targets-americans-lawfully-exercising\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"texas-attorney-general-moves-to-block-atf-pistol-brace-rule\" title=\"Texas Attorney General Moves to Block ATF Pistol Brace Rule\">Attorney General\u2019s website<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs the case moves through our legal system, I am hopeful that the court will protect the Constitutional rights of Americans by issuing a preliminary injunction against this rule.
