Lights. Lasers, maybe. Many companies have answered the call and bolt rails into their frames. But what about the rest of us, the ones who own traditional 1911s? Recover Tactical has the answer. The Grip and Rail system is a great option for people wanting to hang gadgets off their 1911: a set of grips that extend out under the trigger guard to make a rail under the long end of the frame.<\/p>\n<p>The installation is quick and simple. You\u2019ll need a screw driver and an Allen wrench. One example here at SHOT was attached to a Springfield 1911 and another one to a Colt. The Recover Grips do increase the size of the gun\u2019s grip, but not by much. The thickness feels about the same, but the width was a little more pronounced. The back of the frame is not covered by the Recover, only the front.<\/p>\n<p>The Recover was designed by Tamir Porat and is manufactured in Israel. The units are supposed to be shipping in February and will have an MSPR of $49.95.
