Staccato<\/a> got aggressive in reducing the size of its 2011 pistol and the result is the new CS model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CS still retains all the performance features of the larger Staccatos but loads them all into a much smaller package. The barrel has been shortened back to 3.5\u201d, making it .4\u201d shorter than the Staccato C2, and .9\u201d less than the P2 model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Machined flutes reduce the weight of the barrel.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The forward end of the slide and frame are tapered toward the muzzle to reduce the size of the end of the pistol, making it easier to carry and conceal. Deep front and rear cocking serrations are on each side of the slide allowing positive manipulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The slide is optics-ready and comes with a fiber-optic front sight and a Dawson Precision Patented Optic System rear sight. The iron sight can either be carry or tactical height. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stainless steel barrel is fluted at the chamber to cut weight for daily carrying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CS comes with a curved aluminum trigger that breaks at 4-4.5 lbs. A flat trigger is available for an additional charge as an upgrade. The frame is 7075 billet aluminum with a Picatinny rail for accessory mounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grip is a new design and a tenth of an inch narrower than the previous versions making it easier for me to grip and should be easier to conceal. The ambi-safeties end up being the widest point on the CS but make for effort-free operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
