A burglar found himself with a non-lethal shot to the tush earlier this month after attempting to rob a partially blind man. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohio police received a call early on a Wednesday morning from a terrified homeowner who had just fired at an unknown burglar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He didn\u2019t know if he had hit the intruder, according to Lt. Brian Pacifico of the Franklin Police Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously scared, the homeowner refused to get off the line saying, \u201cOh God. Oh, I\u2019m a nervous wreck. I just happened to hear the door slide, and then I said, ‘Hey,’ and he turned toward me, he started walking toward me like, ‘I didn\u2019t know you was in here.’ I didn\u2019t know if\u2026 I thought he was going to kill me,\u201d said the victim on the 911 call obtained by Fox19<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving at about 3:25 a.m., police followed a blood trail to a nearby shed, where they found the burglar, 36-year-old Jeffrey Carl. A non-lethal bullet wound was located in Carl\u2019s buttocks and he was taken to Atrium Medical Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After further investigation, the police discovered that the shed where they had found Carl was owned by his friend Joe Lewis. It has also been reported that Carl knew the victim personally, calling him an \u201cuncle, pretty much.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A family member of the victim told Local12<\/em> <\/a>that the victim is \u201cpartially blind\u201d. He had been at the hospital the day before and had only gotten home the previous night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carl told police that he hadn\u2019t known the victim would be there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
