The two men involved in the offense were then identified and taken into custody.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both criminals are now being \u201ccharged with 5 counts of attempted murder\u201d reports <a href=\"https:\/\/wgntv.com\/news\/chicagocrime\/charges-announced-after-a-boy-shot-in-the-head\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"family-massacre-averted-by-good-guy-with-a-gun\" title=\"Family Massacre Averted By Good Guy With A Gun\">WGNTV<\/a> as well as several other felonies. Both are gang members, although police say that the victim\u2019s family has no affiliation with any gangs or with the perps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police are now saying that this whole affair is a random act of violence from bad guys who were looking for someone to shoot.
