I didn\u2019t pull the trigger.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In light of the FBI\u2019s ballistic report, Baldwin still hasn\u2019t changed his story.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, in an interview with Chris Cuomo, Baldwin doubled down on the notion that he was not responsible.  &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I know that every single person on the set of the film knows what happened, and the people who are talking loudest about what happened or speculating about what happened were not on the set of the film,&#8221; Baldwin told Cuomo, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/12\/04\/1061546161\/cnn-fires-chris-cuomo-sexual-harassment-allegations-andrew\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"revolver-baldwin-was-holding-could-not-be-fired-without-trigger-pull-says-fbi-report\" title=\"Revolver Baldwin Was Holding Could Not Be Fired Without Trigger Pull, Says FBI Report\">fired from <em>CNN<\/em> last year <\/a>and now hosts the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=L9MEYY7fhmM\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"revolver-baldwin-was-holding-could-not-be-fired-without-trigger-pull-says-fbi-report\" title=\"Revolver Baldwin Was Holding Could Not Be Fired Without Trigger Pull, Says FBI Report\">Chris Cuomo Project<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/alec-baldwin-tries-to-avoid-blame-again-in-new-court-filing\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"revolver-baldwin-was-holding-could-not-be-fired-without-trigger-pull-says-fbi-report\" title=\"Revolver Baldwin Was Holding Could Not Be Fired Without Trigger Pull, Says FBI Report\">Alec Baldwin Tries to Avoid Blame (Again) in New Court Filing<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Everybody who was there, they know exactly what happened,&#8221; Baldwin added. &#8220;They know exactly who&#8217;s to blame.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baldwin has not yet been charged with a crime.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Bradford Cohen, a criminal lawyer and licensed firearms instructor, told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/alec-baldwin-fbi-report-whats-next-shooting-gun-charges-1734091\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"revolver-baldwin-was-holding-could-not-be-fired-without-trigger-pull-says-fbi-report\" title=\"Revolver Baldwin Was Holding Could Not Be Fired Without Trigger Pull, Says FBI Report\">Newsweek<\/a><\/em> that the FBI&#8217;s findings &#8220;screams consciousness of guilt&#8221; and indicated that an indictment is long overdue.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Common gun safety in any circumstance, let alone pointing a firearm and pulling the trigger, is to check the firearm,&#8221; Cohen said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Actors don&#8217;t suddenly become less responsible because they are actors. If this was a rap video, charges would have already been filed,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though Baldwin has avoided any criminal liability thus far, he has been named in at least three lawsuits, including one filed on behalf of Mrs. Hutchins&#8217; family that accuses Baldwin and the other producers of the movie of &#8220;reckless behavior and cost-cutting&#8221;&nbsp;that created unsafe working conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/police-release-new-video-evidence-in-baldwin-shooting-debacle\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"revolver-baldwin-was-holding-could-not-be-fired-without-trigger-pull-says-fbi-report\" title=\"Revolver Baldwin Was Holding Could Not Be Fired Without Trigger Pull, Says FBI Report\">Police Release New Video Evidence in Baldwin Shooting Debacle<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke Nikas, the attorney representing Baldwin, has maintained that his client was told by the person responsible for safety on the set that the gun was &#8220;cold.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nikas also said in a statement that the FBI report is being &#8220;misconstrued.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The gun fired in testing only one time\u2014without having to pull the trigger\u2014when the hammer was pulled back and the gun broke in two different places,&#8221; alleged Nikas. &#8220;The FBI was unable to fire the gun in any prior test, even when pulling the trigger, because it was in such poor condition.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation is still ongoing.
