Former President Donald Trump isn\u2019t the only individual the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has in its crosshairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Law-abiding concealed carry permit holders in Missouri are also on the agency\u2019s radar, according to state Attorney General Eric Schmitt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back on July 13th, AG Schmitt wrote a blistering letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray instructing the bureau to back off from attempting to illegally harvest gun owner information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt has come to my attention that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has informed several Missouri county sheriffs that they will be showing up in August to \u2018audit\u2019 CCW permit holder records. The FBI states that, \u2018The audit includes an onsite review of your Concealed Carry Weapons Permits\u2026,\u2019\u201d the letter states. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet me be perfectly clear. Allowing federal agents from the FBI to have access to records of Missourians who have a permit to carry a concealed weapon violates Missouri law and infringes on our Second Amendment rights,\u201d it continues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The letter goes on to substantiate why Missourians are so suspicious of federal agents coming down to the Show Me State to conduct an \u201caudit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou famously targeted the parents of school children who showed up to express their concerns at school board meetings. Unbelievably, somehow this was done as an alleged violation of the PATRIOT Act,\u201d reads the letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn addition to targeting parents, your agency has targeted conservatives, most famously the witch hunt against President Trump and his team,\u201d it continues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
AG Schmitt also noted that at the same time it was aggressively persecuting those on the right, the agency was turning a blind eye to the malfeasance of high-profile Democrats, including dropping the ball on Hillary Clinton\u2019s email server<\/a> and sitting on its hands with respect to Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As mentioned, this letter was written before the FBI\u2019s unprecedented raid Monday morning on Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida<\/a> to recover \u201cclassified material\u201d for the National Archives and Records Administration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump believes the FBI\u2019s probe at Mar-a-Lago was politically motivated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” Trump said in a statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The details of the unprecedented raid on President Trump’s home continue to get worse… “It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s unclear at this time whether the FBI has begun its audits of CCW info in Missouri or if it\u2019s ceded to the demands of AG Schmitt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n One thing is for sure, however, in light of the Mar-a-Lago fiasco, the FBI is now under a microscope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Law-abiding concealed carry permit holders in Missouri are also on the agency\u2019s radar, according to state Attorney General Eric Schmitt.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":34,"featured_media":167544,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_specdata_upc":"","_specdata_placement":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[244,25,240],"tags":[132,607],"featured":[],"hunt365":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-167543","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-2nd-amendment-r2kba","8":"category-current-events","9":"category-this-week","10":"tag-buzz","11":"tag-news"},"yoast_head":"\n
