Dr. John Lott, Jr joins Sebastian Gorka\" src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embed\/v194fxz\/?pub=4#?secret=z2NQtayAvF\" data-secret=\"z2NQtayAvF\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. John Lott from the <a href=\"https:\/\/crimeresearch.org\/2022\/07\/on-the-gorka-reality-check-discussing-the-false-gun-violence-narrative\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"the-gun-free-zone-lie\" title=\"The Gun-Free Zone Lie\">Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC)<\/a> talked to Sebastian Gorka recently about the \u201cgun-free zone\u201d lie, which is the notion that the best way to stop determined killers is to create more places where law-abiding citizens are prohibited from bearing arms for personal defense.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Dr. Lott noted, gun-free zones backfire in that they actually become the places homicidal individuals seek out to inflict maximum damage.  From the vantage point of a would-be mass murderer, no armed resistance means a higher body count.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;If you look at something like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usacarry.com\/buffalo-new-york-gun-free-zones-kill-zones\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"the-gun-free-zone-lie\" title=\"The Gun-Free Zone Lie\">manifesto from the Buffalo murderer <\/a>he explicitly talks about why he picked the target that he did and right at the top of the list is he wanted to go to a place where victims were unarmed,&#8221; observed Dr. Lott. &#8220;He didn&#8217;t want to go to a place where he thought victims might have concealed handguns.&#8221;  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/good-samaritan-fatally-shot-active-shooter-indiana-mall\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"the-gun-free-zone-lie\" title=\"The Gun-Free Zone Lie\">Police Praise \u2018Good Samaritan\u2019 Who Fatally Shot Active Shooter At Indiana Mall<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;He is not alone.  If you read the diaries and the manifestos for other killers, time after time, they mention they want to go to places where victims can&#8217;t defend themselves,&#8221; Dr. Lott continued.  &#8220;These guys may be crazy in some sense but they&#8217;re not stupid.  Their goal is to get as much media coverage as they can and they know that the more people they can kill the more media coverage they can get.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting rid of gun-free zones and raising the specter that active shooters will be met swiftly with deadly force is the best way to deal with this problem.  Sure, it won&#8217;t stop all attacks but it&#8217;s a much better strategy than disarming good guys and posting signs that say &#8220;No Guns Allowed&#8221; in the hope that the homicidally deranged will pay attention.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just this week we witnessed what can happen when law-abiding citizens are encouraged to bear arms for self-defense outside the home.  A 22-year-old man from Indiana<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/good-samaritan-fatally-shot-active-shooter-indiana-mall\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"the-gun-free-zone-lie\" title=\"The Gun-Free Zone Lie\"> fatally shot an active shooter <\/a>at a mall in Greenwood, saving countless lives.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/new-fbi-report-armed-citizens-stopped-active-shooters-in-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"the-gun-free-zone-lie\" title=\"The Gun-Free Zone Lie\">New FBI Report: Armed Citizens Stopped Active Shooters in 2021<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;He was carrying legally under Constitutional Carry law. His actions were nothing short of heroic. He engaged the gunman from quite a distance.
