It simply appeared on the White House\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2021\/06\/23\/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-announces-comprehensive-strategy-to-prevent-and-respond-to-gun-crime-and-ensure-public-safety\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"atf-targeting-ffls-for-license-revocation\" title=\"ATF Targeting FFLs for License Revocation\ufffc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/recall-alert-safety-recall-for-fn-502-tactical-pistols\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"atf-targeting-ffls-for-license-revocation\" title=\"ATF Targeting FFLs for License Revocation\ufffc\">Recall Alert! Safety Recall for FN 502 Tactical Pistols<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, last December, ATF updated its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atf.gov\/firearms\/federal-firearms-licensee-quick-reference-and-best-practices-guide\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"atf-targeting-ffls-for-license-revocation\" title=\"ATF Targeting FFLs for License Revocation\ufffc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Federal Firearms Licensee Quick Reference and Best Practices Guide<\/em><\/a>. The updated guide makes clear that \u201cATF will, absent extraordinary circumstances, initiate proceedings to revoke the license of any dealer that has committed a willful regulatory violation of the Gun Control Act (GCA) for specified violations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quick Reference Guide goes on to outline circumstances for revocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Absent extraordinary circumstances, ATF will issue a notice of revocation whenever it determines an FFL has willfully committed a single act of one of the following violations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Transferring a firearm to a prohibited person<\/li><li>Failing to conduct a required background check<\/li><li>Falsifying records, such as a firearms transaction form<\/li><li>Failing to respond to a trace request<\/li><li>Refusing to permit ATF to conduct an inspection<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Other willful violations that may result in the issuance of a notice of revocation include but are not limited to failure to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Account for firearms<\/li><li>Verify and document buyer eligibility<\/li><li>Maintain records needed for successful firearms tracing<\/li><li>Report&nbsp;multiple sales of handguns<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>While some of these may be serious violations that warrant revocation, many will be simple paperwork errors.
