The Western Hunting Expo, which took place Feb 10-13 in Salt Lake City, was the best consumer (open to the public and you could buy stuff) hunting show I’ve ever attended. If you ever get the chance to go, it’s a fun, fun show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hidden on a back row at the convention, out of sight, SIG SAUER had a small booth with many of their newest products, including the new 10K Rangefinding Bino’s, that have been announced but that still haven’t hit shelves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also hanging in their booth was a SIG Cross Precision rifle that hasn’t yet been announced. Here’s the exclusive first look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The folding toolless buttstock is all steel for added weight and includes a bag rider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pistol grip is vertical and includes a steel weight inside it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mag release is different than on the hunting version of the Cross and is set up more for competition\/precision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The handguard is longer (18 inches) and features a full-length steel Arca rail on the bottom for attaching bipods and tripods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The barrel is stainless steel, 24 inches long, and comes with a tank-style muzzle brake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hunting version of the SIG Cross is just over 6 lbs. The New Precision Cross is 15 lbs and there are plenty of M-Lok slots for adding more weight or accessories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first calibers available will be 6.5 Creedmoor, 308, and 6mm Creedmoor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone should be able to pull this gun out of the box, mount a scope, and go shoot a tactical\/sniper or PRS match and be competitive without doing any modifications to the gun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSRP is $2500<\/p>\n\n\n\n
