(<em>Photo: Whitehouse.gov<\/em>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BELLEVUE, WA \u2013 <\/strong>Joe Biden went off-script again during his remarks to the media in New York City when he repeated two blatant falsehoods, one about the Second Amendment and the other about a federal law that prevents junk lawsuits against gunmakers, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen it comes to gun rights and the Second Amendment, Joe Biden is a recidivist congenital liar,\u201d said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. \u201cThe guy just can\u2019t resist perpetuating a lie that\u2019s already gotten him into trouble with the Washington Post Fact Checker, earning an embarrassing \u2018Four Pinocchios,\u2019 but he continues to misrepresent history and the right to keep and bear arms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In New York, Biden told reporters, \u201cThere\u2019s no amendment that\u2019s absolute. When the amendment was passed, it didn\u2019t say anybody can own a gun \u2014 any kind of gun \u2014 and any kind of weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Second Amendment did not place limits on the kinds of arms people could own, nor did it say anything about who could own guns,\u201d Gottlieb said. \u201cBiden is making that up out of thin air.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biden also restated his hope to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a federal law that prevents junk lawsuits against the firearms industry. Gunmakers can still be sued for such things as negligence, and Biden knows it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But in his remarks to the media, Biden said this about the firearms industry: \u201cThey\u2019re the only industry in America that is exempted from being able to be sued by the public. Only one\u2026 They\u2019ve got to be held responsible for the things that they do that are irresponsible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden needs to be held responsible for the irresponsible things he says, as well,\u201d Gottlieb stated. \u201cThroughout his entire career, Biden has become infamous for his canards and gaffes, especially when it comes to guns.
