Grand Power is announcing an updated version of their popular Stribog pistol that’s compatible with Glock magazines, the new Stribog SP9A3G<\/a>, imported by Global Ordnance. Chambered for 9mm Luger, the SP9A3G is based on the same roller-delayed blowback action, now with a crowd-pleasing magazine option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pistol caliber carbines and pistol caliber pistols that take Glock magazines are all the rage today. They’re easy to find, some gun owners already have stacks of them and they’re affordable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are some disadvantages to single-feed magazines and they can be harder for some people to load, but — especially when it comes to Glock magazines — they have a solid track record for reliability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One issue more than a few Stribog owners have dealt with that may have held the guns back has been magazine reliability. Grand Power’s response has been to introduce revised magazine designs but this might be the big break the Stribog’s been waiting for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stribog was released a couple of years ago, and it’s gone through a few revisions to get where it is today. In addition to magazine redesigns, the Stribog went from a straight blowback system to a roller-delayed blowback action to make it smoother and more reliable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of some growing pains, some shooters consider the Stribog to mostly be a “fun gun,” but with these recent improvements, that could soon change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Power and Global Ordnance are launching the SP9A3G as a pistol with an 8-inch barrel. Without a pistol brace the SP9A3G measures in at just under 17 inches long and weighs right around 4.5 pounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The barrels are threaded for 1\/2×28 muzzle devices. The SP9A3G features an ambidextrous selector lever, a reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle, a full-length flattop Picatinny rail with flip-up backup iron sights, a fixed accessory rail at 6-o’clock and modular M-Lok slots along the sides of the handguard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
