This year at SHOT Show 2022 Leupold brought out a new optic. They released the Patrol 6HD 1-6<\/a>. The newest in their tactical\/duty line of LPVOs (Low Power Variable Optic).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Patrol optic is based off of their proven VX6. Featuring a true 1x on the bottom end and available with two different reticles, from the simple and clean Fire Dot Duplex reticle, to the illuminated CMR2, with integrated BDC and ranging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The windage turret is capped with 1\/4 MOA adjustments. The elevation turret is offered in a capped version as well as a exposed turret. This lets the shooter make adjustments quickly and easily. You can even get a custom elevation dial made for your specific ballistic solution in your gun\/ammo combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Law Enforcement in mind, the scope has a motion sensor to activate the illumination. This ensures the optic is ready when you need it. Also, when the illumination turns on, it will automatically return to the last setting you had it on. This makes for a great “patrol” rifle setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An interesting feature also included is the electronic reticle level. If your reticle (scope) isn’t level, the reticle will flash. The idea is to notify the shooter when the rifle is canted. While at shorter distances, this isn’t as big of a deal, at long ranges, this significantly changes the bullet’s impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scope has all of the features you have come to expect: 30mm tube, removable throw lever, shock and fogproof, and HD performance. The Leupold Patrol 6HD<\/a> is currently available through a number of retailers. MSRP on the Fire Dot Duplex version is $1,399.00 while the CMR2 has a MSRP of $1,499.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
