At SHOT Show 2022, Daniel Defense announced the release of their RIII series of AR-pattern rifles<\/a>. Designed to be lighter and more flexible, these new rifles feature completely ambidextrous lowers and utilize the all-new RIII M-LOK handguards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RIII rail system maintains the same bolt-up plate as the RII rails while utilizing M-LOK cuts to provide a light but robust system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By using the same bolt-up plate, Daniel Defense said swapping between RII and RIII rails would be a breeze. The rifles also feature QD sling swivel holes machined into the handguard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of now, the RIII uppers will only be sold as part of a complete rifle, but Daniel Defense said that RIII uppers and rails would be available by themselves sometime around June 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
