The Armasight Contractor is ready to mount to any rifle, giving you thermal capabilities for nighttime hunting.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Armasight is back<\/a> launching a whole new line of products! Everything you need to own the night, from night vision to thermals. One of their new offerings this year at SHOT Show 2022 is the Contractor Thermal Riflescope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Contractor is a stand-alone thermal scope that has some great built-in features. While it has your standard fare, like an integrated Picatinny rail mount, numerous reticles, and color pallets; it has some cool stuff going on from a user standpoint. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, all of the functions of the scope are controlled with turrets. Rather than trying to mash buttons and cycle through menus, especially when your hands are cold or in gloves, you can simply navigate the options with turrets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of turrets is a huge advantage over the traditional buttons.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

While the current version of the Contractor has a 320×240 resolution, a 640×480 version will be available in Q3 of this year. And thanks to the onboard proprietary Armacor processor, the images are nice and clean due, in part, to the pixel guessing software. All of which is made here in the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Contractor also has a USB-C out, making it easy to remove footage from the unit, which can capture both video and stills. The 320 version of the Contractor is available now for around $4,000. The 640 version will cost around $5,000 when it’s released later this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if you are interested in night vision, they have an entire line of that as well. From PVS-14s, to clip-on units, to full duel tube setups. All using Elbit tubes with a minimum FOM (Figure Of Merit) of 2300+. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Departing that he wound up in a large metropolitan Police Department for a spell before landing in the Security Contracting world. One constant through these experiences was gear and weapons.
