Diamondback recently announced the release of the Sidekick, which is their interchangeable 22LR\/22Mag revolver. The Sidekick blends modern features with a timeless cowboy style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Including both a 9 round 22LR and 22Mag cylinder, users can choose a cartridge best suited to their needs. From cheap practice ammo to slinging 22Mag, the Sidekick has you covered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One big feature to note is Diamondback’s recessed cylinder. This allows for dry fire without worrying about the firing pin getting beat up or wearing out the cylinder. Also included is a safety transfer bar so you can safely load all 9 rounds without leaving an empty chamber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sidekick has a 3-pound single-action trigger pull, and a 14-pound double-action trigger pull. The trigger performs well, and the form is functional and classic. While including checkered polymer grip panels, Diamondback also has aftermarket wood grips available and the Sidekick is also compatible with Ruger grips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming in at 32.5 ounces with a 1:16 twist for a 4.5-inch barrel, the Sidekick blends functional size with weight to provide an accurate small package. Featuring a black Cerakote finish, this revolver should stand up well against corrosion from harsh environments. It performed flawlessly for the few rounds we were able to put through it, and the swing-out cylinder release and ejection rod made for quick work of reloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
