When searching for an aftermarket trigger there are a few things to consider. Do you want the lightest competition trigger available, or something with a clean heavier pull to be more duty-oriented? Determine what is important to you, and find something designed to fit those needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My needs in an aftermarket trigger were a clean break and ultimate reliability. Having run a lightweight and mushy Agency Arms trigger for a year in Glock 34 for USPSA, I was ready to switch it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While having a 5.5lb pull weight to break the wall and fire a round, the Universal Gen 1-4 Velocity trigger from Killer Innovations has a smooth and medium pull weight to get to the wall traveling right at 3\/16ths of an inch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once at the wall, increasing your pulling force will create a very clean break with no noticeable creep. After the shot, the trigger can move up to another 3\/16ths to the rear. The trigger is then spring assisted back forward, moving a maximum of 3\/16ths of an inch before getting a positive and tactile reset which is then right back on the wall of the trigger. Having the reset activated right on the wall of the trigger is a huge plus to me. It creates less needed movement of both your finger and the trigger which aids accuracy when you are shooting quickly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my opinion, aesthetically this trigger leaves nothing to be wanted. I am a huge fan of their skeletonized design. They offer multiple color schemes to match whatever style you are going for in your pistol. Replacement of an OEM trigger with this aftermarket one is an easy job. Plenty of YouTube videos out there to give you step-by-step directions if you haven\u2019t disassembled your handgun or swapped triggers up to this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The safety bar sticks out further than most other trigger safeties I have seen, but this does not bother me. It seems to almost hyper-extend past where normal Glock trigger safety’s go, so there is no way the trigger can be pulled without also depressing the safety bar. The end of the safety bar is cut at such an angle so it makes full contact with the frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Velocity trigger feels good, shoots great, and looks cool doing it. Shooting over 2,000 rounds with this trigger over the course of the last two years, I am happy to say I have had zero issues. Between live fire, and the thousands of reps of dry fire, this trigger has held up well. It still has a positive reset and clean break. The trigger has performed as well as I expected, and after my experiences would recommend it to anyone who wanted a heavier duty grade aftermarket trigger.
