No one.&nbsp; After all, in that same period of time, Left-wing politicians in major cities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themarshallproject.org\/2020\/06\/09\/support-for-defunding-the-police-department-is-growing-here-s-why-it-s-not-a-silver-bullet\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"washpo-editorial-board-its-time-to-act-on-guns\" title=\"WashPo Editorial Board: It\u2019s Time to Act on Guns\">defunded the police<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/12\/31\/nyregion\/cash-bail-reform-new-york.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"washpo-editorial-board-its-time-to-act-on-guns\" title=\"WashPo Editorial Board: It\u2019s Time to Act on Guns\"> eliminated cash bail <\/a>for certain crimes, instructed <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7.com\/george-gascon-los-angeles-district-attorney-lada-misdemeanor-crimes\/8674095\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"washpo-editorial-board-its-time-to-act-on-guns\" title=\"WashPo Editorial Board: It\u2019s Time to Act on Guns\">prosecutors to use kid gloves on offenders<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/la-sheriff-shuts-down-gun-stores-releases-1700-inmates\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"washpo-editorial-board-its-time-to-act-on-guns\" title=\"WashPo Editorial Board: It\u2019s Time to Act on Guns\">emptied prisons<\/a> due to&#8221;COVID-19 concerns,&#8221; City Mayor Jenny Durkan referred to it as a \u201csummer of love\u201d atmosphere.&nbsp; Until, of course, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.q13fox.com\/news\/chop-seattle-mayor-walks-back-summer-of-love-comment\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"washpo-editorial-board-its-time-to-act-on-guns\" title=\"WashPo Editorial Board: It\u2019s Time to Act on Guns\">had to eat crow<\/a> after multiple violent crimes were caught on camera, including the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But forget about all that.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>WashPo<\/em> Editorial Board would have you believe that guns are mainly to blame and that the solution is, along with broadly chilling 2A rights, incremental civil disarmament, starting with AR-style rifles.&nbsp; Never mind that knives and personal weapons are used more often to kill people than <em><strong>ALL<\/strong><\/em> rifles combined.&nbsp; Never mind that &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rand.org\/research\/gun-policy\/analysis\/ban-assault-weapons.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"washpo-editorial-board-its-time-to-act-on-guns\" title=\"WashPo Editorial Board: It\u2019s Time to Act on Guns\">assault weapons&#8221; bans don&#8217;t reduce crime<\/a>.
