(<em>Photo: 19 News<\/em>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A 69-year old Ohio woman shot and killed a female intruder who forced her way into the victim&#8217;s home in North Olmsted, Ohio. The intruder, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleveland19.com\/2021\/09\/20\/69-year-old-woman-shoots-kills-home-intruder-north-olmsted\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"elderly-ohio-woman-fatally-shoots-suspect-attacking-her-husband\" title=\"Elderly Ohio Woman Fatally Shoots Suspect Attacking Her Husband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">identified as 21-year-old Keyarra Tompkins<\/a>, was killed after fighting with the homeowner&#8217;s 72-year old husband. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to police reports, Tompkins broke into the couple&#8217;s home late Sunday night. After struggling with the husband, the wife picked up a firearm and shot the intruder in the abdomen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The identities of the couple are not being released, although the North Olmsted Police department said they will not be charged with any crimes. Police are investigating why Tompkins targeted them, their house, and their neighborhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it stands, it appears to have been a random act of violence. The homeowners say they have never met Tomkins and have no relationship with her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomkins knocked on their door around 11 o&#8217;clock at night, waking the homeowners. When they answered the door, Tomkins forced her way in, prompting the shooting. This has never happened to me before!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operator then asked, &#8220;Are you safe right now?&#8221; The woman replied, &#8220;Yeah, there&#8217;s a car parked in our driveway. We need an ambulance,&#8221; she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operator continued. &#8220;You need an ambulance?&#8221; &#8220;Yes, I shot a gun, please hurry,&#8221; said the woman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to the local press after the break-in, a neighbor, Tatyana Wargo said she &#8220;had goosebumps all over [her] body,&#8221; after learning about the apparently random attack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wargo also said she had a Ring security system installed, but discontinued her service. She said she would reactivate it as soon as possible. &#8220;I was going to do it last night, but we didn\u2019t because we were decorating and I\u2019m doing it today,&#8221; she
