(Photo: David Hogg Facebook)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That didn\u2019t take long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A short two months after announcing his intention to start a \u201cprogressive pillow company\u201d to compete with MyPillow, gun control activist David Hogg has reversed course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEffective immediately, I have resigned and released all shares, any ownership and any control of Good Pillow LLC,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davidhogg111\/status\/1381004076205420549\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"david-hogg-abandons-pillow-company-two-months-after-starting-it\" title=\"David Hogg Abandons Pillow Company Two Months After Starting It\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">he wrote on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the next several months, I will be taking some time to focus on my studies in college and advance the gun violence prevention movement with March for Our Lives and personally,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hogg left (or was removed from) the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AMarch4OurLives\/status\/1359695499721375747?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1359695499721375747%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunsamerica.com%2Fdigest%2Fhogg-booted-from-gun-control-organization-for-shameless-money-grab%2F\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"david-hogg-abandons-pillow-company-two-months-after-starting-it\" title=\"David Hogg Abandons Pillow Company Two Months After Starting It\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">March for Our Lives board<\/a> following his decision to get into the pillow industry. He received harsh criticism from some of his fellow anti-gun activists, and he responded vehemently on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo all those questioning my intentions sincerely fuck off I refuse to feel guilty about wanting to help people and feed myself and pay for therapy,\u201d he said. \u201cYou may not agree with how I do it- but ultimately I know what my intentions are &#8211; to help people. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Asking \u2018Triggering Questions\u2019 During a 2019 Confrontation<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile the tragedy and trauma I experienced does shape me, like many other survivors of gun violence, it is not even close to who I am fully and I am looking forward to using this time to grow myself as an organizer, friend, son, and brother,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hogg also claimed his departure was not instigated by a falling out between himself and his business partner, William LeGate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter many discussions with William and my friends, family and mentors, I made the good faith decision to allow William to bring our vision to life without me,\u201d he said. \u201cI want to thank Will for his partnership and wish him absolutely nothing but success with the future of Good Pillow. The reasons for my departure rest entirely with me and my own personal commitments and I truly wish Will nothing but the best.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hogg said he has \u201cresigned and released all shares, any ownership and any control of Good Pillow LLC.\u201d It\u2019s unclear what he means by \u201cshares\u201d since Good Pillow is organized as a limited liability company and does not issue
