Vice President Kamala Harris, in a Wednesday interview on CBS This Morning<\/a>,<\/em> was very clear about one thing in the aftermath of the mass killings in Boulder, Colorado, and, Atlanta, Georgia:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n No one is coming for your guns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cReject the false choice and stop pushing it, for sure.\u00a0 Stop pushing the false choice that this means everyone’s trying to come after your guns.\u00a0 That is not what we\u2019re talking about,\u201d she said with respect to the current push on Capitol Hill for tougher gun control that includes Feinstein\u2019s Assault Weapons Ban of 2021<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not coming for our guns<\/em>.\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 That\u2019s great news. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Except for one thing, earlier in the interview she totally contradicted that statement, suggesting that the Biden administration \u2014 which has openly supported banning many commonly owned firearms and accessories <\/a>\u2014 firmly believes law-abiding citizens do not have a constitutional right to possess modern sporting rifles.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThere\u2019s no reason why we have assault weapons on the streets of a civil society. They are weapons of war,\u201d she explained. \u201cThey are designed to kill a lot of people quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, which is it?\u00a0 Do Biden and Harris support confiscation or don\u2019t they?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The White House\u2019s official position on confiscation, according to Fox News<\/a>, is that the president supports giving current gun owners a choice: either participate in a voluntary \u201cbuyback\u201d program or register your firearms as Title II weapons under the National Firearms Act. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, one either turns over his or her firearms to the Fed or registers them with the ATF at a cost of $200 per gun. Failure to comply makes one subject to a felony that carries with it a prison sentence of up to 10 years behind bars and a fine not to exceed $250,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n While that\u2019s the official position of this administration, we know that Harris has been on record saying she supports<\/a> \u201cmandatory buybacks.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n And, in the past, Biden vowed to make former presidential candidate Beto O\u2019Rourke<\/a> his gun czar. O\u2019Rourke made waves on the campaign trail in 2019 when he said, “Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15, AK-47.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Americans who own AR-15s and AK-47s will have to sell their assault weapons,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n At the time, O\u2019Rourke\u2019s gun-grabbing agenda was embraced by current White House press secretary Jen Psaki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank you @BetoORourke<\/a> take guns. Please. No one needs an assault weapon. This is a crisis.<\/p>— Jen Psaki (@jrpsaki) September 13, 2019<\/a><\/blockquote> \n\n\n\n O\u2019Rourke has not yet been tapped by Biden to lead the charge on this issue.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n But make no mistake about it, though the White House has stopped short of calling for full-on confiscation, this does not in any way diminish its hostility toward one\u2019s right to keep and bear arms. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThere\u2019s no reason why we have assault weapons on the streets of a civil society.
