<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each week GunsAmerica publishes an article about the Biden administration\u2019s plan to dismantle the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.\u00a0 And, each week in the comments section, a reader or several readers will accuse us of publishing fear porn, the underlying notion being that Biden won\u2019t follow through with a radical anti-gun agenda and that we\u2019re just fanning flames for clicks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn\u2019t seem to matter to these critics that on Biden\u2019s own website<\/a>, he laid out in great detail precisely what he plans to do as POTUS 46 \u2014 ban ARs, criminalize private transfers, end online gun sales, hold gun makers responsible for the acts of criminals, among many other misguided policies \u2014 or what he or his choice for Vice President, Kamala Harris, have said<\/a> in the past on their desire to use executive fiat to infringe on gun rights<\/a> should Congress not play ball, they still don\u2019t believe that a Biden administration is coming for our guns.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But maybe, just maybe, who Biden is now surrounding himself with to do his bidding will open their eyes.\u00a0 This week, Tucker Carlson of Fox News made a very compelling case <\/a>of what we have to look forward to if Biden takes office on Jan. 20, 2020, based on his choices for key positions in his cabinet and on his staff. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Biden has tapped Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) to be a senior advisor, for example.  As Tucker points out, last year, Richmond voiced support for the confiscation of certain firearms under a \u201cmandatory buyback.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf it is a buyback, then I’m all for it. If it’s a mandatory buyback, I think then you may run into some complications, but the thought of it does not offend me, and it sounds like something I could support,\u201d he told CNN.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, Biden\u2019s deputy chief of staff Jennifer O\u2019Malley Dillion was very clear that seizing guns from responsible gun owners \u2014 not criminals \u2014 is a high priority for the Democratic Party.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA plan that supports mandatory buybacks of weapons of war,\u201d she explained. \u201cThe assault weapons ban is very, very important and we need to have it. But that only takes weapons of war off the streets in the future. It does nothing for weapons of war that are currently out there, and I think there’s 15 or 16 million.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, I know for most of you, we’re not telling you anything you don’t already know or understand. This is really an article for the skeptics. Those who believe with confidence that a Biden administration won’t do everything in its power to attack 2A rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, what I want to know from them is how do you not only defend Biden’s plan, his comments supporting gun control in the past, but the people he is now putting in positions of power? How is this all, when considered in its totality, not an existential threat to one’s right to keep and bear arms? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
