The irony was especially thick on Twitter yesterday as the woke mob blasted anti-gun prince David Hogg for having the temerity to suggest that young people shouldn\u2019t resort to violence in their political protests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hogg, by far the most high-profile anti-gun activist who survived the 2018 Parkland massacre, has in recent years expanded his repertoire of grievances to include capitalism, \u201cimperialism,\u201d and voting rights. In a tweet posted yesterday, Hogg encouraged other young people to engaged in protests and voting but spoke forcefully against \u201cthe use of violence to acquire political power.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He argued that violence has deep roots in \u201cin imperialism, capitalism and white supremacy,\u201d and he said he refuses to \u201cbelieve that the use of this same violence will ever create nonviolent systems of government that represent and support everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the only half-sane (half-<\/em>sane) tweet Hogg has ever posted, he got excoriated by his fellow leftists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The response got so bad that Hogg had to issue a clarification. By \u201cyoung people,\u201d Hogg said he really<\/em> meant \u201cyoung white people\u201d who he sees \u201carming themselves or wanting to so they can go and loot and act in antagonistic ways against the state trying to use allyship as a cover.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He would never tell \u201cBIPOC people how they should react to violence directed at them by the state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me be clear what I am NOT trying to do is tell BIPOC people how they should react to violence directed at them by the state.
