Milwaukee police have arrested a man for using a dangerous weapon while intoxicated after he reportedly pointed a firearm at a crowd of Black Lives Matter protestors who had gathered in front of his house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 56-year-old man, who police have not identified, was the subject of a video that went viral on social media earlier this week. The video shows a man through the window of a home displaying a pro-Trump flag while a group of people yell at him from the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man can be seen holding what looks like a long gun, and he at one point appears to chamber a round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou gonna have bigger problems, man,\u201d someone in the crowd yells. \u201cI would advise you to think twice. I don\u2019t think you know what\u2019s out here, buddy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When police arrived, they arrested the man for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon while under the influence of an intoxicant, disorderly conduct while armed, and bail jumping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Milwaukee Police Department released a statement the next day that provided more details about the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The homeowner had been arrested the day before after he reportedly threatened his neighbor while holding a chainsaw. He was booked for disorderly conduct while armed and released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest the next day stemmed from that incident. Police were on the scene during the protest, and were told by one of the protestors that the homeowner \u201cmotioned the long gun as if to chamber a round and then pointed it at the crowd.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers made contact with the man and observed that he appeared to be intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several Black Lives Matter protests have expanded in recent weeks to include individuals who aren’t public figures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month in Rochester, Ny., a group of BLM rioters vandalized a restaurant and terrorized diners without providing a reason for their actions. They kicked out patrons, broke glassware, and destroyed property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this comes as crimes rates spike in major U.S. cities. Acting Milwaukee Police Chief Michael Brunson reported<\/a> this week that the violent crime rate is rising in Milwaukee, and the homicide rate has doubled since this time last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
