Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who shot and killed two rioters<\/a> while also injuring a third in Kenosha, Wisconsin last week, will have his day in court.  On that, we can all agree. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the rest of the story, depending on whom you ask, Rittenhouse may be a gun-toting patriot or a cold-blooded killer\u2026  Or maybe something in between, a well-intentioned youngster who was in way over his head yet nonetheless comported himself in a manner that showed restraint and maturity beyond his years.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, though, Rittenhouse had a brief message for those who view him in a more positive light as he prepares for what will undoubtedly be a high-profile trial: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rittenhouse is being held at a juvenile facility in Vernon Hills, Illinois. He faces six criminal counts and is being prosecuted as an adult. Those include: first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, recklessly endangering safety and possession of a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pierce Bainbridge, the lead attorney representing Rittenhouse, said in a statement<\/a> recounting the events of that night that his client “did nothing wrong.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Kyle did nothing wrong. He exercised his God-given, Constitutional, common law and statutory law right to self-defense,” explained Bainbridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bainbridge went on to say that Kyle “is now in the crosshairs of institutional forces that are much more powerful than him. But he will stand up to them and fight not only for himself, but for all Americans and their beloved Constitution. We will never leave his side until he is victorious in that fight.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As GunsAmerica previously reported<\/a>, all of the men Rittenhouse shot that night were convicted criminals. Joseph \u201cJoJo\u201d Rosenbaum, 36, was a convicted pedophile, Anthony Huber, 26, was a convicted domestic abuser, and Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, is a convicted felon who faced charges for burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and disorderly conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are part of the pro-2A community on social media, it’s impossible to ignore the outpouring of support for Rittenhouse. Hundreds, if not thousands, of memes have been posted and shared in the aftermath of the incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
