(<em>Photo: NY Daily News<\/em>)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BELLEVUE, WA<\/strong> \u2013 Faced with a certain loss in court, defendants in a California lawsuit challenging a gun show moratorium at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego County have settled with the plaintiffs, including the Second Amendment Foundation and California Rifle &amp; Pistol Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, plaintiffs included B&amp;L\nProductions, Inc., Crossroads of the West, South Bay Rod and Gun Club, Maximum\nWholesale\/Ammo Brothers and five private citizens.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a victory for the First Amendment as\nwell as the Second,\u201d said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M.\nGottlieb. \u201cWe\u2019re delighted the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> District Agricultural\nAssociation and fairgrounds board decided against prolonging a legal action.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAF was represented by attorney Don Kilmer, who observed, \u201cThe gun culture belongs on Main Street and that is what this lawsuit was all about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A preliminary injunction against the\nfairgrounds moratorium was issued in June 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGun shows are considered a First Amendment\nactivity as well as a Second Amendment event,\u201d Gottlieb stated. \u201cUnfortunately,\ndue to the COVID-19 outbreak, we haven\u2019t been able to see a show held at the\nfairgrounds, but we\u2019re looking forward to hearing from the gun show promotor\nthat a date is set for another gathering sometime this year, hopefully.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the agreement, the defendant will pay SAF\u2019s attorney fees and costs, Kilmer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">***<a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/\" campaign=\"BuySellGA_Register\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\">Buy and Sell on GunsAmerica!<\/a>***<\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cThis is a victory for the First Amendment as well as the Second,\u201d said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M.
