Savage is adding a new style of Rascal to their catalog that shows American pride in addition to teaching new shooters the skills they need. The Rascal Red, White & Blue<\/a> is star-spangled with patriotic American flag “camo” that’s sure to stand out at any range. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is our responsibility to help teach firearm safety to the next generation of American hunters and marksmen,\u201d said Savage Arms Director Beth Shimanski. \u201cBut that doesn\u2019t mean the tools we use to teach can\u2019t be fun.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We\u2019re proud of our American heritage and we\u2019re showing that pride with these diminutive guns that are built to the same demanding standards as every other Savage,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Savage Rascal is a single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle, and for shooters across the country, is a popular “first gun” to own. It doesn’t hurt that it’s an affordable design and even with the upscale finish the Red, White & Blue has a suggested price of just $223. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With real-world typically less than MSRP these should be available in stores and online for less than $200. The price includes the rifle with its camo-print synthetic stock with an 11.5-inch length of pull, adjustable peep sights and class-leading adjustable Savage AccuTrigger system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like all Rascals, the Red, White & Blue uses a cock-on-open design with a manual safety. Users can unload the rifle without pulling the trigger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red, White & Blue weighs just 2.7 pounds, comes with sling swivels installed and it uses a 16-inch carbon steel sporter-profile barrel. Savage will start shipping these in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 2020 Savage has announced pretty wide expansions of their popular product lines from top to bottom. Many of these include some pretty high-end products like their Renugauge family of semi-automatic hunting shotguns<\/a> but also include their entry-level rifles and shotguns including their Axis II <\/a>series, A22 series and B series rifles<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
