SIG Sauer is adding a very cool new handgun to their Legion series, a single-action-only P220 chambered for 10mm Auto. The Legion series is SIG’s premium product line with perks for owners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The P220 Legion series now has four models, two in 10mm and two in .45 ACP. The original P220 Legion pistols in 10mm and .45 are decocker models while the new pistols like this 10mm version are single-action with manual thumb safeties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 10mm P220 Legion SAO is a full-size single-stack pistol with a stainless steel frame. It has a standard capacity of 8+1 rounds and ships with three magazines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The steel frame will help with felt recoil for sure. This is a solid handgun that weighs 44 ounces unloaded. It has a 5-inch barrel and a Picatinny accessory rail for lights and laser sights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 10mm P220 Legion comes with X-Ray3 day and night sights, SIG’s Legion Grey Cerakote finish and machined black G10 grips bearing the Legion medallion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pistol uses a standard hammer and trigger and the frame has an extended beavertail. The slide has full-height slide serrations at the rear and short serrations up front. Overall it measures in at just under 9 inches long, 1.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches tall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legion owners can register their pistols for free swag and exclusive offers. Legion members receive a free zippered carry case and a challenge coin to match their pistol along with special offers just for Legion members<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These guns do come with a price premium over other SIG pistols but they’re packed with features, not to mention, the added appeal of the Legion lifestyle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the Legion pistols the 10mm P220s are the highest-end, with a fairly high sticker price starting around $1,599 right now. Legion P220 pistols chambered for .45 ACP are a bit more affordable, starting around $1,199. <\/p>\n\n\n
