Tactical-cool lever guns have taken<\/a> the firearms industry by storm<\/a>, and Rossi USA introduced their own take on the blacked-out cowboy rifle at SHOT Show 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The R92 Triple Black will be available chambered in .357 and\n.44 Magnum and comes with all the features customers have come to expect from\nthese modern lever guns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eight-round capacity and available chamberings provide\nenough firepower to handle whatever hunting or self-defense situation may arise,\nand the 16.5\u201d barrel makes the gun maneuverable in dense brush and tight\ncorners. The barrel is also threaded to accommodate a wide variety of muzzle\ndevices, including suppressors and muzzle brakes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gun\u2019s weight adds to its maneuverability. At just over six pounds, the Rossi Triple Black is lighter than the Marlin Dark Series<\/a> by over 1.5 pounds. Only a full review can determine whether Rossi cut weight by cutting quality materials, but lighter is always better on a long-distance hunting trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users can either utilize the peep sight system or throw a scope on the included picatinny rail. We found the peep sight to be easy to use along with the simple black blade-style front sight, though most users will no doubt opt for some kind of optic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For users who want something a little more traditional, Rossi also unveiled two rimfire options: the Rio Bravo lever action and the Gallery pump action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rossi reps told us that the company has made lever action\nrimfire guns in the past, but this reintroduced model has improved the action\nmechanism to increase reliability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rio Bravo features a 15-round capacity and an 18\u201d\nbarrel. It\u2019s equipped with an adjustable buckhorn rear sight and a brass bead\nfront sight, and the dovetail rail on the receiver can accommodate scope rings.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We found the action to be smooth, but the trigger features quite a bit of takeup before finally dropping the hammer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
