{"id":121151,"date":"2020-01-07T16:26:37","date_gmt":"2020-01-07T21:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/?p=121151"},"modified":"2020-01-07T16:26:37","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T10:01:32","slug":"judge-judy-on-gun-control","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/judge-judy-on-gun-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge Judy on Gun Control: \u2018Bad guys will always get guns\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judge Judy was talking some sense this week during an appearance on ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View.\u201d &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the septuagenarian supports Michael Bloomberg for president, she made it clear that she and the former NYC mayor don\u2019t see eye to eye on one\u2019s right to keep and bear arms, at least as it relates to carrying concealed firearms in the public square.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am not a Michael Bloomberg surrogate,\u201d said Judge Judy. \u201cWe may not agree on everything. I have always felt that the bad guys will always get guns. I was involved in criminal justice for a quarter of a century before I got this great gig that I have now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judge Judy went on to say that she and her husband, Jerry Sheindlin, who is also a judge, both obtained concealed carry permits in the past. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere was a time when both Jerry and I had carry licenses and carried guns,\u201d she explained.&nbsp; \u201cHe actually carried a gun before I did\u2026 I always felt a little bit safer when I was walking in the streets with Jerry, it was late at night, we were walking home, that he was carrying a gun.\u201d &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cuts against remarks Bloomberg made in the aftermath of the attack at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/democrats-renew-gun-control-lawfully-armed-citizens-stop-texas-church\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"judge-judy-on-gun-control\" title=\"Judge Judy on Gun Control: \u2018Bad guys will always get guns\u2019\">Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas <\/a>last month, during which an armed parishioner shot and killed a gunman after he had murdered two churchgoers. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities believe the perpetrator would have continued taking innocent lives had it not been for the armed parishioner and the security personnel that backed him up.&nbsp; Following the incident, Bloomberg criticized the notion that armed citizens can stop killers in the act and save lives. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the job of law enforcement to carry guns that kill,\u201d declared Bloomberg. \u201cWe just can\u2019t let the average American have guns in a crowded place&#8230;gun control saves lives&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/savage-first-semi-auto-shotgun-renegauge\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"judge-judy-on-gun-control\" title=\"Judge Judy on Gun Control: \u2018Bad guys will always get guns\u2019\">Savage Announces Its First Semi-Auto Shotgun, the \u2018RENEGAUGE\u2019<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, Judge Judy supports Bloomberg&#8217;s gun-banning agenda and believes there ought to be prohibitions on certain semiautomatic firearms and magazines of a specific capacity. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said, \u201cYou have a Second Amendment.\u00a0 It\u2019s never going to change\u2026\u00a0 [BUT] I personally don\u2019t think anyone in this country needs a gun capable of shooting 100 rounds in sixty seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then, toward the end of the segment, she really went off the rails when she described Bloomberg as \u201can honest\u201d man.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMike Bloomberg is an honest man,\u201d said Judge Judy, making a face like she was choking on a cue ball (I kid you not, watch the video embedded above).\u00a0 \u201cAnd he\u2019s always been for gun control.\u00a0 But he\u2019s not taking away people\u2019s Second Amendment rights, I don\u2019t think.\u00a0 I\u2019ve never heard him say that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eek!  Judge Judy needs to start reading GunsAmerica!  If she did, she&#8217;d soon realize that her pal Mike is wholly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/?s=bloomberg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"judge-judy-on-gun-control\" title=\"Judge Judy on Gun Control: \u2018Bad guys will always get guns\u2019\">dedicated to taking away the 2A rights of law-abiding citizens<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyway, Bloomberg is currently polling at 5.8 percent nationally, sitting in the fifth position behind Biden, Sanders, Warren, and Buttigieg, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"judge-judy-on-gun-control\" title=\"Judge Judy on Gun Control: \u2018Bad guys will always get guns\u2019\">RealClearPolitics.<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">***<a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/\" campaign=\"BuySellGA_Register\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\">Buy and Sell on GunsAmerica!<\/a>***<\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cI am not a Michael Bloomberg surrogate,\u201d said Judge Judy. \u201cWe may not agree on everything.
