Today, millions of individuals work in markets from fashion to fitness to firearms to build a following big enough to attract partnerships with businesses looking to promote their products. Some estimate that businesses will spend as much as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/influencer-marketing-report\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"instagram-private-individuals-paid-promote-firearms\" title=\"Instagram Will No Longer Allow Private Individuals to be Paid to Promote Firearms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">$15 billion on influencers by 2022<\/a>, up from $8 billion in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest policy from Instagram will significantly hinder\nthe ability of Instagram influencers to make money by partnering with gun\ncompanies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another tech company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/financial-attacks-franklin-armory\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"instagram-private-individuals-paid-promote-firearms\" title=\"Instagram Will No Longer Allow Private Individuals to be Paid to Promote Firearms\">Shopify<\/a>, made a similar move last year that forced gun companies to scramble to keep their businesses from closing.
